The Al-Nasr Club Board of Directors was keen to respond quickly to the accusations directed against Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the first team striker, after the derby against Al-Hilal, by directing an inappropriate gesture to the fans after the end of the two teams’ confrontation.

Al-Nasr lost (0-2) to Al-Hilal, on Tuesday evening, in the match that brought them together in the 25th round of the 2022-2023 Roshen Professional League competition.

A video clip was circulated showing Ronaldo directing a “disgraceful gesture” to Al Hilal fans, who chanted the name of Argentine star Lionel Messi as he left the floor of King Fahd International Stadium, amid demands for sanctions to be imposed on the player.

Sports journalist Mohamed Al-Anzi reported, from sources in the Al-Nasr Club Board of Directors, that the accusations against Ronaldo were incorrect, during statements to the “Action with Walid” program, with the journalist Walid Al-Farraj.

Al-Enezi said in his statements: “I have information from Al-Nasr Club management that Ronaldo is suffering from an injury and did not make any offensive move.” Cristiano received a strong blow in a very sensitive area, and he continued to suffer from it until the final whistle blew, and he is absolutely sure of this information.”

He added: “If we saw the video circulating, his face during his exit was on the ground, and he did not even look at the stands. “Ronaldo is a great player, and this is not my opinion, but it is known that the player suffers from an injury, but the public’s interpretations are up to him.”
